The biggest roulette win In 2004, English gambler, Ashley Revell sold all his possessions, including his clothes, and wagered the proceeds, amounting to $135,300 USD on a single spin of the roulette wheel at Plaza Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. WinStar World Casino is not only the largest casino in the US but also the biggest casino in the world – in the unlikely destination Oklahoma! With at least 600,000 square feet of gaming space.
Shortly before his death, Parker acquired the Crown Casino Network, which is one of the leading largest gambling companies. This man managed to spend $ 20 million at London casino, however, was never particularly upset, because cold always remind that he had won 30 million dollars at the MGM casino in one shot. What a positive dude!
When it comes to the most popular games in Las Vegas casinos, three games stand above the rest.
Slot machines, roulette, and the blackjack tables draw the lion’s share of gamblers. These games are fast-paced, exciting and for the most part very easy to learn; factors which alone are reason enough to play, for most casino visitors.
There is however, one more factor. A factor that is always present in the back of the mind of every gambler that steps foot into a casino. The chance of a big win. A huge, life-changing win. This is the one factor that brings new gamblers in, and keeps long time gamblers coming back.
Lets take a look at three of the biggest wins in Las Vegas history – to date. One from each of the most popular casino games.
The biggest slots jackpot
In March of 2003, Ethan Miller, a 25-year-old software engineer from Los Angeles won $39.7 million after wagering $100 in the Megabucks slot machine at the Excalibur casino.
His odds of winning at the time? A staggering 1 in 16.7 million.
Ethan’s win still stands as the biggest slots jackpot won in Las Vegas. No word if Ethan ever went back to his software engineering job.

Biggest Online Casino Win Ever
In 2004, English gambler, Ashley Revell sold all his possessions, including his clothes, and wagered the proceeds, amounting to $135,300 USD on a single spin of the roulette wheel at Plaza Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
The moment was captured by Britain’s Sky One television channel for their mini reality series “Double or Nothing”.
Needless to say, wagering your life savings, or any amount which you cannot afford to lose is a lousy idea.
For those planning to wager responsibly, online casinos present a convenient opportunity to try one’s luck and win real money without having to travel to Vegas. You need much less to gamble online but the win may be the biggest in the history of online casino.
The biggest blackjack win
Australian billionaire Kerry Packer, a gambling legend in his own right, won between USD $24 million and USD $33 million playing blackjack (and some baccarat) at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Rumor has it that Packer tipped a doorman a cool million dollars that night, and that several high-level MGM Grand employees were fired for permitting Packer to make huge bets.
What’s really interesting is that online casinos are starting to rival the winnings of Vegas with no deposit slots like Mega Moolah regularly turning regular people multi-millionaires. In just one example, British soldier Jonathon Heywood from Cheshire, United Kingdom, won £13.2 million.
Stay tuned for our future article covering the biggest and most exciting wins in European casinos. And remember, if you gamble, please gamble responsibly.

El Gordo[edit]
Spain's Sorteo Extraordinario de Navidad (Spanish Christmas Lottery) is generally considered to be the world's largest lottery game, with the largest first prize/jackpot. In 2012, the first prize was €720 million (then US$941.8 million; $1.058 billion in 2020 dollars). The total prize pool in 2012 was €2.52 billion (US$3.297 billion; $3.704 billion in 2020 dollars). The tickets for this drawing have pre-printed five-digit numbers, with each set of numbers sold multiple times in series. For example, a ticket with the number '00001' was printed 180 times under different series numbers. Moreover, each series is divided into 10 décimos (tenths in English), which are the individual tickets available for purchase. This results in the top prize being split by a very big number of winners usually from different regions of Spain. The 2011 top prize of €720 million was paid out as €4 million (US$5.2 million) to each of the 180 tickets (or €400,000 for each décimo) with the number 58268.[1] In 2016, the total prize pool was $2.310 billion (US$2.414 billion)[2][3]
United States[edit]
All lottery winnings are subject to Federal taxation (automatically reported to the Internal Revenue Service if the win is at least $600); many smaller jurisdictions also levy taxes. The IRS requires a minimum withholding of 25% of the prize (minus the wager) of any gambling win in excess of $5,000. However, the net for a major prize often is misleading; winners often owe the IRS upon filing a return because the Federal withholding was below the winner's tax obligations. Nonresident U.S. lottery winners[4] have 30% of winnings of at least $600 withheld.
While the largest lottery prizes in the early history of U.S. state lotteries were 'annuity-only', these lotteries gradually introduced a 'cash option' for these games.
All prizes listed below are reported as the pre-withholdings amount, as this is taxable income the player must report on their returns to be subject to taxation. Jackpots and jackpot shares listed below are annuity amounts (and the cash value.)
For various reasons, an annuitized jackpot can have a higher cash value than a larger annuity with a lower cash value. Examples include the annuity structure of various games: while Mega Millions' and Powerball's annuity option each are 30 annual payments, Mega Millions' annuity payments increase 5 percent yearly, while Powerball increases 4 percent yearly; this makes the Mega Millions' annuity structure somewhat more 'inflated'.

Europe[edit]
Unlike in the United States, where lottery wins are taxed, European jackpots are generally tax-free (the lotteries themselves are taxed in other ways) and jackpots are paid in a lump sum. For example, in the United Kingdom's National Lottery, wagers are split between the game operator Camelot Group and the government, with Camelot distributing its share among prizes, operating costs, profit,[15] Camelot's 'good causes' programme, with the remainder going to the government as value-added tax (VAT) due.[16]
